Facts
  • Madonna donated the proceeds from her final New York show to AMFAR and dedicated the concert to her late friend Keith Haring.
  • When the show arrived in Toronto, the police received some complaints that Madonna's show was lewd and obscene. They threatened Madonna to charge or even arrest her if she world not alter her masturbation-scene during Like A Virgin. Madonna refused to change anything - no charges were made in the end.
  • Due to some problems with Madonna's voice, four US Shows had to be cancelled.
  • Another show in Italy was cancelled because the Pope as usual had called for a boycott.
  • HBO filmed and telecasted the final Blond Ambition show from Nice, France - it became the then highest rating concert event in television history.
  • Madonna's Blond Ambition Tour has changed the look and feel of concert-tours and remains one of the most talked about concert tours of by any artist ever with out question.
  • 1'500 lights were used to light up 4 different sets covering a 80x70 foot stage.
  • The whole stage and crew equipment was transported from town to town in 18 trucks.
  • Over 100 crew members spent 2 full days assembling the monstrous stage for every show.
